Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is encouraging software developers to attend a free Software Developer Technical Meeting being held on March 3-4 2015 in Washington D.C. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss upcoming programming changes for the new functionality that is scheduled to be part of the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE). The two-day session will take place at the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Jefferson Auditorium from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm each day.
Several topics are on the agenda to be discussed, including:
- Technical and operational alterations pertaining to the Entry Summary Accounts and Revenue (ESAR).
- Cargo Release (this includes the message set for the PGA).
- Export Manifest Processing.
- Additional functionality issues pertaining to the May 1, 2015 deadline to file electronic import and export manifests in ACE as well as the November 1, 2015 deadline to file all ACE entries and associated summary filings.
